Monitors Japan Post and other state-owned enterprises in Japan to ensure that they are managed in a manner consistent with global best practices and, in areas where they compete with ACCJ companies, are required to compete on a level playing field as required by Japan's bilateral commitments and international obligations. Advocates for reform of state-owned enterprises and the regulations governing them, where these conditions are not met.

• Communicate with government leaders concerning the need to ensure that privatizations are conducted in a manner that is consistent with Japan's international obligation and worldwide best practices.
