Kiran Sethi Chair

Aims to actively pursue corporate social responsibility (CSR) through various local business organizations closely associated with American, Japanese, and other international companies. Organizes charity and community development events sponsored by the ACCJ in Kansai.

Objectives

• Hold 2-3 major CSR related events
• Get maximium particpation from committee members
• Actively engage with local government officials
• Raise over 3 million yen to be donated

2006 Achievements

Advocacy

• Held a major charity walk event raising over 10 million yen with over 800 participants
• Received active involvement from the membership with over 100 volunteers to support the event
• First official Kansai event held with high-ranking level officials from Kobe, Osaka and Kyoto governments
