2007 COMMITTEE DESCRIPTION
Focuses on recruitment, activation and retention of ACCJ members. Monitors and reports on membership trends via analysis of monthly membership activity and make recommendations to the BOG and ACCJ office to enhance recruiting and retention activities. The Committee welcomes new members and researches ways to make membership more meaningful and valuable. Committee members host social and networking events as well as make phone calls and send e-mail follow-up to both new and inactive members in order to increase participation in ACCJ events. The Committee also reviews criteria for membership and periodically presents options to the BOG.

2007 COMMITTEE OBJECTIVES

•    Support and increase positive responses for Member Satisfaction Survey.
•    Host twice-monthly new member orientation meetings with at least 35% of new members attending.
•    Re-brand Meet & Greet to emphasize access to ACCJ Leadership, aiming for 15-20% of Meet & Greet attendees to come from ACCJ Leadership.
•    Aim for 75% of new members to attend at least one event during their first 3 months of joining.

2007 ACHIEVEMENTS
Speaker Programs & Networking
•    Meet & Greet in April and November
•    Nomu-nication in February, June and October
•    Monthly committee meetings
•    Twice-monthly New Member Orientation

•    Increased membership back above the 3,000 level
•    Recruited more active members of the committee, including potential new Vice Chair
•    Increased leader participation in Meet & Greets (but 20% goal of attendees is probably too high, given we are attracting 200+ members)
•    Greater number of leaders contributing to New Member Orientations
•    Streamlined and scripted orientations to ensure consistency
Held several innovative events, including continued trend of "upscaling" the Nomunication and initiated a once-annual "Petit Greet" (through MESC) to attempt to capture prospective members who had attended one Meet & Greet or Nomunication during the year
