Investing requires much due diligence including an understanding of the laws that affect your business. One of the major considerations in Japan is the Act on Protection of Personal Information ("APPI"), which has been amended, and includes the implementation of the "My Number" system. How does this influence your decision to invest in Japan? And does the amendment change what we thought we knew about APPI and My Number? Ms. Masako Banno will guide us through this topic emphasizing the practical approach for most firms to prepare for dealing with My Number, as well as the amendment of the Act on Protection of Personal Information.
