Development of any new product comes with extraordinary challenges especially for industries experiencing rapid changes in technology. There are a host of business issues to consider when developing and introducing a new product. If a company's products incorporate new technologies and processes, then there are legal issues that should be considered in advance of releasing or publicizing the products or new technology.
In this presentation, you will gain an understanding of how to identify key technological developments and what steps need to be taken to protect a company's intellectual property rights in a technology, including steps that can be taken to limit patent litigation exposure.
Frank Fletcher is a partner with the law firm of OutsideGC. Frank is based in Los Angeles and travels to Japan on a regular basis. He has over 15 years of experience providing legal support to technology companies. Frank previously worked for a commercial law firm in Tokyo for more than five years.
