It is with great pleasure that we announce Part III of the ACCJ Kansai “Art for Charity” event series, “Artists Young and Old(er) — Creating Together for Charity,” to be held in the atrium and gallery spaces at Canadian Academy on Rokko Island from 17:30 – 20:30 on Wednesday, April 25, 2018.
The students of Canadian Academy, an international school in Kobe, will exhibit their creations together with Kitano Alley Gallery Artists.
Guests are invited to purchase the international artists’ works, although the students’ works are not for sale.
10% of the sales will be donated to Food Bank Kansai to support their food distribution to the needy. We encourage all participants to make additional food or cash donations to Food Bank Kansai, which has benefited greatly in the past from the generous support of our members and guests.
Along with the ACCJ, Canadian Academy students and Kitano Alley Gallery artists support Food Bank Kansai as a main focus of their current community service efforts. In addition to the donations at this event, Canadian Academy students are also organizing a food drive.
The art exhibit starts from 17:30, with a donation presented to Food Bank Kansai at approximately 18:45. For those interested, there will also be a middle school concert in the main theater at 18:00.
