The Direct Marketing Committee strives to educate, entertain, and assist its members in direct marketing issues. It hosts luncheon seminars and networking events geared toward informing attendants of the issues relevant to direct marketers and raising the level of knowledge for all. The DMC covers a broad range of direct marketing issues in the areas of proper data management, using the web for DM, managing the offer, looking at new DM avenues to grow business, and getting more marketing muscle out of the data you already have. Topics covered have included Web 2.0, Measuring for DM, Driving Value for DM, DM Lists, Offers, and Creative, and more.
Objectives
The DMC's objectives are three fold:

- Promoting the development of techniques and facilities for direct marketing of products and services in Japan, and encouraging the enhancement of telemarketing techniques and knowledge.
- Work with Japanese Direct Marketing bodies as well as governmental authorities and other appropriate persons and organizations to establish mechanisms which serve to facilitate and expand direct marketing in Japan.
