The Foreign Direct Investment Committee's themes are important to virtually all members (essentially, FDI is "our business" for most members). Depending on the year and the projects we undertake, there can be a large number or a small number of active members. The Committee provides a platform for advocating the policy, legal and regulatory changes that are most essential in order for Japan to increase FDI flows from their present low level as compared to other developed nations. The Committee also hosts/arranges speakers and events and facilitates information sharing, which further its objectives.
