Work in Osaka or the Kansai Region? The ACCJ has a Chapter for You
The only foreign chamber of commerce with a presence in the Kansai region, the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ACCJ) has an active chapter serving those who work in Osaka or elsewhere in the Kansai region.
While Kansai represents less than 10% of the total land area in the country, the region makes up 17% of the population and a surprising 17% of Japan's GDP. With many universities in the area, there is a great deal of talent, making Kansai an attractive location for business.
Large multi-national corporations and small to mid-sized companies operate successfully here, with the dominant industries being medical, pharmaceutical, electronics and heavy industry/manufacturing. For those who work in Osaka in the international business arena, the ACCJ-Kansai chapter is the source for networking, information and advocacy.
Six active committees plan and host roughly 25 events annually, in addition to the ever-popular Kansai Walk-a-thon and KISS Charity Concert.
