established in 2005. EMOBILE entered the mobile market in March 2007 as the first new operator in 13 years and launched many innovative "high speed, flat rate and affordable pricing" mobile broadband services. In
December 2009, the company launched a very popular mobile router product - "Pocket WiFi" which uses 3G technology with WiFi router functionality. In February 2011 the company passed the 3.0 million mobile broadband
subscriber mark for the first time. EMOBILE is currently one of the largest mobile broadband service providers with one of the world's highest mobile broadband network at over 42Mbps.
Our presenter, Eric Gan, will talk about the challenges of starting up e-Access in 1999 and EMOBILE in 2005, and how the company has evolved to meet the competitive landscape in Japan. Eric will touch on key corporate milestones for eAccess and EMOBILE. Prior, Mr. Gan worked as a
telecom analyst & Managing Director for Goldman Sachs Japan when he was involved in many telecommunication financing deals in Japan/Asia. Mr. Gan was born in Hong Kong, graduated from Imperial College, University of London and has been living in Japan for the last 20 years.
