Based on the premise that Japan can best achieve its renewable energy needs through greater cooperation between the public and private
sectors, the ACCJ has invited three visionary speakers to share specific ideas on how the government and the private sector can support growth in this area. The three leading experts are Kiyotaka Fujii, President, Better Place Japan; Hideyuki Ohnishi, Country Executive, GE Energy
Japan; and Jun Takei, Ph.D., Japan Policy Director, Intel Corporation, and Senior visiting researcher and lecturer, Keio University.
These distinguished panelists will weigh in on existing policies and provide recommendations on what needs to be done in order to make clean
tech investments viable in Japan now and beyond. While the events of March 11 were a catalyst for this discussion, the ACCJ believes that the nation has an unprecedented opportunity to effect positive energy investment and development for the benefit of Japan and the world over.
