Come get your hands dirty and volunteer in Tohoku! The number of volunteers in Tohoku has dwindled, but the need is still there! Bring your spouse, your colleagues, and your friends (over age 20) to share an experience that is bonding and memorable. The non-profit group "Nadia" has generously arranged an opportunity for members of the international business community and their spouses, colleagues, and friends to volunteer as a group to help disaster victims in Tohoku. There will be a wide range of tasks available, from cleaning off muddy personal items of disaster victims, to digging mud, to cater to all ages and abilities. The group meets 11:00 p.m., Friday evening, April 27 in front of the ACCJ building, and returns Sunday evening, April 29. Logistical Arrangements that will be taken care of for you include: chartered bus and simple accommodations for Saturday night, as well as N95 masks, safety gloves, and steel boot inserts (to protect your feet from stepping on nails). Participants need only bring rain gear & boots and a willingness to work-everything else can be taken care of! Regarding safety concerns, radiation is not an issue in Ishinomaki, and volunteer insurance is provided. This group opportunity is a rare chance for us (non-Japanese and Japanese, women, men, spouses, colleagues and friends over age 20) to understand and contribute to the relief effort in Tohoku! They still need our help!

Friday, April 27
11:00 p.m. Group meets at ACCJ. Small group safety orientation and situation briefings will take place on the bus.

Saturday, April 28
8:00 a.m. Arrive in Ishinomaki
8:00 a.m. Volunteer work
4:00 p.m. Check into Route Inn Ishinomaki

Sunday, April 29
8:00 a.m. Volunteer work
2:00 p.m. Visit local "Sento"
3:00 p.m. Head back to Tokyo
10:00 p.m. Arrive in Tokyo
