The B2B Sales Committee is having an exceptionally good year. In March, Louisa Wong, the Executive Chairman of Bó Lè Associate, spoke about the growth and opportunities for those wanting to relocate to China; her talk was poignantly titled, "Sucking Talent Out of Japan." She specifically spoke about the global market, where human resources has become one of the key factors for successful corporations. In April, the Chamber's very own Andrew Silberman, President & Chief Enthusiast of AMT Group, gave a presentation on his book "It's All About Getting A G.R.I.P."

His book explains his radical approach to self-development, in which he details the use of tools and techniques, such as music, exercises and discussions aimed at raising the leadership quotient. He also presented the committee a signed copy of his recent book, which is to be added to the B2B Sales Committee library located within the Chamber's office. In late May, we heard from Ernest Higa, Chairman & CEO of Higa Industries Co., Ltd., and CEO of Wendy's Japan (GK), about that very timely story of the return of Wendy's; the presentation was titled "Third Time's the Charm?"

During this first half of 2012, nearly 150 members and their guests attended B2B Sales Committee hosted events. These events are the result of your feedback and input as to what you want from your committee. To help us to continually serve you better, we are holding a meeting aiming to find fresh topics that pertain to our committee's agenda. We want to assure that you remain happy with your committee and its leadership. As the meeting is to be held in the ACCJ boardroom, it will also be a fine opportunity to browse through the books the B2B Sales Committee has to provide.

We invite you to attend our planning meeting to help us present a second half that will be even superior to the first half of 2012. Please use this opportunity to contribute some of your energy and ideas.
