Kou Matsubayashi is president and CEO of Nagoya-based ArtScrew Co., Ltd., inventors of an innovative new technology for screws. This new technology, called "MOTIONTITE" is a combination of the words "motion" and "tight," which expresses the concept of an "anti-loosening bolt."
Matsubayashi established ArtScrew Co., Ltd. in 2003 expressly to design and innovate new screw and bolt technologies for industry. Since its establishment, the company has received awards from the Nagoya City government, and was selected for supported by the state government organization METI.
In this presentation, Mr. Matsubayashi will share tips that will help entrepreneurs start and grow in their own businesses. These tips include:
- Niche selection: At startup, what pointed towards success in this industry over other industries?
- Overcoming financial problems to continue and grow the business
- Soliciting financial support from government
- Finding partners and collaborators
- Approaching potential sales and distribution channels
