ACCJ Director’s Award Presented to John Hideyoshi Martyn, Co-founder of Language Cloud
U.S. Ambassador Roos hosted the third annual "The Entrepreneur Awards Japan" ceremony at his official residence on November 14, 2012.
Over 100 guests attended the exclusive event, including private-sector business leaders and entrepreneurs and Government of Japan officials.
Four awards were presented that recognized the outstanding achievements of four entrepreneurs in Japan. The ACCJ’s Executive Director Samuel Kidder presented the ACCJ Director’s Award. The prestigious award is presented to an entrepreneur whose business has international aspirations. The winner of the award was John Hideyoshi Martyn, co-founder of Language Cloud, an online platform that helps language teachers and students manage their classes.
The ACCJ Director’s Award will give John the opportunity to work closely with Executive Director Samuel Kidder to leverage the Chamber’s network of businesses, committees and events including free attendance to an Entrepreneur Handbook seminar to gain insight and advice on how best to grow the business further, especially as the Language Cloud team plans to expand internationally in Spring 2013.
