[Event Review] 2013 ACCJ Shinnenkai
The ACCJ rang in the new year with it's 2013 Shinnenkai yesterday, Wednesday January 16th.
The evening started with opening remarks from new ACCJ President Larry Bates, in which he outlined his three-pronged growth strategy for the ACCJ and unveiled the yoji-jukugo, or four character phrase, that embodies the ACCJ's mission going into the new year: kyouju seichou (共就成長) or "Achieving Growth Together."
Remarks from U.S. Ambassador to Japan John Roos and JCCI Chairman Tadashi Okamura followed Larry's speech. We were very happy to host many VIPs at the event including prominent Japanese government guests, U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski and former U.S. Senate Majority Leader Thomas Daschle. Starting with this night of great food and even better networking, we hope to make 2013 a banner year for the ACCJ!
