Join a Committee
Committees and subcommittees are the lifeblood of the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan. Committees meet on a regular basis and are broad-based in nature; subcommittees are industry-specific groups that operate under the aegis of a parent committee. By joining one or more committees, you will be able to meet other businesspeople with similar interests, while contributing to and learning from your field of interest.
Share Event Ideas
Committees are always looking for new and exciting topics and speakers for their programs. As an ACCJ member, you can suggest ideas for topics in which you are particularly interested, or individuals you know to be good speakers. To do so, contact the respective committee directly.
Chair a Committee
Take your involvement in the ACCJ and your committee to the next level by becoming a Chair or Vice-Chair of a committee or subcommittee. Gain leadership experience while working with a group of volunteers particularly interested in the topic.

ACCJ events with a strong networking focus, such as our Meet & Greet events, golf tournaments, annual Charity Ball and Walk-a-thons, and industry-specific symposia, regularly attract a high-profile, high-energy crowd of hundreds of members and guests. Advertise with the ACCJ
There are a number of ways of marketing your business in Japan to the influential ACCJ audience through online and print advertising. Run for Election
To really help shape the organization and direction of the ACCJ, seek nomination to run for one of the Board of Governor positions. Annual elections take place in the fall, when the ACCJ President, Chairman, Vice Presidents and Governors are elected by voting ACCJ members.
