Masako Arakane is President of QUALIA Inc, a unique position for a Japanese woman, as only 6% of women in Japan are in management positions. Masako became interested in Diversity when as an NPO worker focusing on promoting women in the workforce she visited an American company and learned about Diversity & Inclusion. She saw the latent potential for this subject in Japan and since then she has been vigorously active in promoting Diversity in Japan. In 2006 she established QUALIA

Inc., a consulting company which focuses on supporting organizational change by creating corporate Diversity strategies. She annually holds

more than 200 lectures, training sessions and workshops throughout Japan. In recent years she has been focusing on integrating Diversity

promotion and the 鏑earning Organization・theory by putting her energies into developing female leaders, holding joint workshops with male supervisors and female subordinates and mentoring systems. Some of the companies QUALIA Inc supports are Daiichi Sankyo Co., Ltd., Caterpillar Japan Ltd., Hitachi Chemical Co., Ltd., NTT Group, government related financial institutions, electric companies and IT corporations in addition to a long list of accomplishments with many other corporations. All these opportunities gave her first-hand experience on how to get things accomplished.

Masako will talk about a hot topic in business today, Diversity, and its growing importance in the

workplace. Diversity is important for both women and men, and for the future of Japan. Many hints

will be offered on how companies and women can work together to be more successful and achieve

more diverse workplaces. We are sure that you will be able to take away invaluable lessons on how

you can be more confident in your approach to business strategy. Come join us for a stimulating

conversation about your future!!
