ACCJ leaders have discussed how we can help to revive the economy in the

Tohoku area after the disaster. One of the key factors is reviving the

tourism/hospitality industry in the Tohoku area.



ACCJ and TNB (Tohoku New Business Conference), part of the Japan New

Business Conference, have discussed and decided to hold a symposium on

Reviving the Tourism/Hospitality Industry on November 26 in Sendai. Part

of the cost will be funded by the ACCJ Tohoku Disaster Relief Fund, and

TNB, ACCJ members and others are working on fundraising for the balance

of the cost (ACCJ requires matching funding for this).



We, as the Travel Industry Committee, are requested to help make this

event successful. The programs, sponsors and other details of the

symposium will be discussed.
