Interested in learning more about some of the fascinating applications of solar energy? Then join the External Affairs Committee for the Solar Power Symposium Series. The Series is a combination of events with some of the leaders of the industry talking about the hot topic of solar power.

Our first event is a meet and greet with the University of Michigan Solar Power Car team. The team will talk about their experiences in the World Solar Challenge 2011 in Australia.

The World Solar Challenge is a friendly competition with others attempting the same goals, the teams depart Darwin aiming to be the first to arrive in Adelaide, some 3,000 km to the south.

It is an extraordinary adventure through the heart of Australia's outback. Teams travel as far as they can until 5 p.m. where they have to make camp.

Also, the special guest of honor will be the actual car used by the University of Michigan! Join us at the Westin Hotel to find better ways to live a greener life.
