In recent times, we have witnessed instances where Japanese confidence in its corporations has failed as a result of failing to deal effectively with the Tohoku crisis. In addition, cases of internal fraud and employee misconduct seem to be on the rise.
Please join us for an important cross-cultural dialogue on corporate accountability. Visiting from the United States will be Lee Augsburger, Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Ethics Officer of Prudential Financial, and Tim C. Mazur, COO of the Ethics and Compliance Officer Association (ECOA). They will be joined by Dean Christina Ahmadjian of the Hitotsubashi Graduate School of International Corporate Strategy (ICS) The ECOA is the world's leading professional association for corporate ethics officers while ICS is one of Japan's premier centers for development of global leadership.
After an interactive panel discussion on Japanese and U.S. approaches to business ethics challenges, the group will tackle the question, "In a global business system, what should we be learning from each other in this area?"
Attendance at this program will provide CLE credit for New York and California lawyers (to be confirmed).
