***THIS EVENT IS FULLY BOOKED**** In the global market, talent has become one of the key factors in the success of corporations. China, with its ever-growing global reach, is sucking talent out of other markets. In 2010 Recruit, Japan's major recruitment and HR services firm, entered into an equity partnership with B・L・Associates, the largest executive search firm in China. B・L・Associates draws its inspiration from B・L・ a legend in the Tang Dynasty known to have the ability to identify the best horse from among a thousand great horses. These "thousand mile horses" are in increasing demand from companies located in the heartland of China, where companies must stretch their legs to be successful. The demand in China is impacting Japan. To help us better understand what is happening in China's rapidly changing competition for talent, Louisa Wong, founder and Executive Chairman of B・L・Associates, will take us on a ride to identify how talent is moving to China from Japan, why it is essential for Chinese companies to globalize (in particular the manufacturing sector), and what it all means for the future of Japan and China. Please join us for what should be an informative and eye-opening look into the dynamics and implications of a talent flow from Japan to China. Speaker's Bio Louisa Wong is the founder and Executive Chairman of B・L・Associates. With over 500 staff, B・L・Associates is the largest executive search firm in Asia and was the first executive search firm to set up in China, in 1996. Louisa has over 26 years of recruiting experience. Louisa was cited by Business Week magazine as one of the "50 Most Influential Search Consultants in the World" in 2008. She is a frequent keynote speaker to global forums on leadership and has been invited by major universities and business schools as a special lecturer on human resources and leadership topics. She has been interviewed by CNBC, Bloomberg, CCTV, and the Asian Wall Street Journal. Louisa is a Harvard Business School graduate and worked for JP Morgan prior to her executive search career.
