This workshop will focus on assessing your leadership and taking it to the next level. You will have the option to take an online leadership assessment to explore your leadership strengths and identify how you can leverage these going forward to deliver positive change. In the workshop, co-coaching, peer feedback, and role-plays will complement the optional online assessment and bring these competencies to life, enabling participants to clearly visualize the look and impact of different behaviors, and to transfer workshop outcomes to deliver immediate results on the job. If you are a leader who wants to take your leadership to the next level, this workshop is for you! What you will learn in this workshop: - 5 competency areas great leaders must have - Key success factors for effective leadership development - Fatal flaws for rising leaders - Your current leadership strengths and further development opportunities - Specific ideas for becoming a more effective leader What we will do: After taking the optional online leadership assessments prior to the workshop, in the workshop, we will build on this with: - Interactive exercises - Directed discussions - Peer and facilitator feedback and coaching - Action planning Note: To maximize your participation in the workshop, you may choose to take two on-line assessments to help you deepen your understanding of your strengths and further development opportunities. These surveys are optional and not required by the ACCJ for participation in this event. If you would like to contribute your results to comparative Japanese-western research on leadership, the facilitator would be delighted to use the data anonymously for academic purposes in a PhD thesis on leadership for Pepperdine University. Following are the directions for taking the online assessments and receiving the results: (a)TriMetrix Leadership Assessment: (1) Please go to http://www.ttisurvey.com (2) You will find a log-in box in the middle of the page, asking for response link. Please enter "104639RLW" in the log-in box (or copy and paste this code), click the "start" box, and follow the instructions to complete the assessment, completing all the assessments in one sitting (this takes about 40-50 minutes). In order to receive the results in time for the workshop, please complete your assessment by Friday, March 9, at 5pm. About the Facilitator: Yoshi Matsui is the president of HPO Creation, with decades of experience as a leadership and organization development facilitator. He designs and facilitates programs to meet the leadership and organizational challenges facing Japan-based organizations in the fast-paced global business environment. Yoshi Matsui has experience delivering a wide range of learning solutions, including teamwork, diversity, influencing and talent development. Yoshi Matsui also teaches and facilitates the OD course at Temple University for HR and organization leaders. He has completed all coursework for the PhD in Organizational Development at Pepperdine University, and is using these surveys in his dissertation research on leadership.
