India is often mentioned along with China in recent years as one of the world's most dynamic economies. India's large and growing middle class, its critical mass of well educated English speaking workers, and its low labor costs are cited as some of the reasons for its success. But there is another factor that is at least as important but which is not often mentioned. That is India's emergence as a great innovator where a number of products, ideas and services have been born and which apply well to many developing markets. This presentation will discuss how India's unique development pattern has spawned such innovation and how organizations can leverage these in a broader global context. Please join the Asia Business Committee in welcoming back Mr. V. Sriram of Infosys Technologies Ltd. Mr. Sriram spoke to the Chamber in May 2010 and has kindly agreed to speak again on the ever evolving political economy in that fascinating part of the world known as India. Mr. Sriram is a Senior Vice President based in Tokyo and heads the Asia-Pacific business of Infosys. He joined Infosys in 1997 to start Infosys' business in Japan. Since then he has expanded the business to cover Australia, China, Hong Kong, Singapore and other parts of Asia.
