Patrick Newell will share how to best make a company grow through six sticky points, social media and an examination of how marketing and PR has shifted in the 21st century. Before that, he will seek to understand what the participants are interested in learning and then address those areas of interest that link to becoming a successful entrepreneur in Japan.

Originally from the US, Patrick Newell first came to Japan in 1991. He planned on living in Japan for five years with the main objective of balancing his Western thinking with an Eastern way of thinking. While interviewing for variety of positions, he accepted an offer to join his wife in running two English language schools and became very interested in education and its practical real world relevance

Mr. Newell is the co-founder of TEDxTokyo, the Tokyo International School. IMPACT Japan and Living Dreams, a nonprofit organization that helps over 3,000 orphans from over 50 children’s homes in Japan
