Reina Otsuka is the founder of "eco+waza," a learning platform where individuals and small businesses can share ideas, experience and communicate. Reina will talk about why and how she started the company at the age of 25, and how the business is gradually growing in terms of clients, customers and sales, and organization. Significantly, all the green tips Reina and "eco+waza" will share will surely be of interest to us who live in Tokyo, one of the largest populated cities in the world. So if you are one of those who feel that Japan is not going green enough, join us to learn that there are many things hidden behind the language and cultural barrier.

"eco+waza" is a learning platform where individuals and small businesses can share ideas, experience and communicate (http://greenjapan.com). "eco+waza" operates an English and Japanese bilingual website (ecotwaza.com) and workshops where you can learn about unique Japanese eco products and ideas.

After spending her childhood in New York until the age of 10, Reina spent most of her education and career in Japan. Graduated from Hitotsubashi University, and worked at Recruit Co., Ltd. for three years before starting Ecotwaza Co., Ltd. in 2006. She was awarded the U.S. Ambassador's Entrepreneurship Award in 2010 and joined the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting at Davos in 2012 as a Global Shaper. She has appeared in many Japanese and global media publications as a social entrepreneur. She became a mother last June and is now creating a working environment where team members with children can work without having to give up their career, a large issue in Japan these days.

Join us to be inspired by her efforts to make something from nothing - establishing a new company that is aimed squarely at giving our ecology a fair chance.
