Peter Petri, Carl J. Shapiro Professor of International Finance at Brandeis University, in conjunction with the Peterson Institute for International Economics, has recently completed an important new study that measures the economic benefits of major new trade agreements under negotiation in the Asia-Pacific region, including the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), the ASEAN-based Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), and other initiatives. The study shows that Japan will be one of the biggest "winners" from comprehensive trade agreeements.
