Since 2004, Eiji Uda has served as the CEO of salesforce.com Japan. Mr. Uda will share with members of the ACCJ salesforce.com's success story in Japan.
Salesforce.com was launched in Japan in April of 2000 in an over-crowded, one-room office in Shibuya. By 2007, its customer list included marquee brands as well as thousands of small and medium-sized businesses throughout Japan. Partnerships with the Japanese government and NTT followed in 2009 and 2010. Japan remains one of salesforce.com's fastest growing regions globally, a status it has achieved through continuous innovation in its strategy to penetrate the market.
How did the company overcome a recessionary, risk-averse mindset and succeed in leading large enterprises, small businesses, and the Japanese government to embrace cloud computing? What was the company's strategy, its noteworthy tactics? Mark your calendars for what promises to be a highly informative and inspiring afternoon.
