Tokyo is abuzz with talk of the 2020 Olympics coming to town, and one of the men who is working hardest to make that happen will be speaking to the ACCJ. Masato Mizuno is the CEO of Mizuno Corporation, the international sports equipment brand, and is serving as the CEO and Vice President of the Tokyo 2020 Bid Committee. Mr. Mizuno will be addressing the ACCJ on the current status of Tokyo's efforts to attract the Olympics in 2020 and will have special insights from his trip to Lausanne to officially present Tokyo's bid to the International Olympic Committee in January. He was also a key role player in the IOC's visit to Tokyo in early March.

Alongside Mr. Mizuno is Roel Louwhoff, the CEO of BT Operate, a major contributor to London's effort to host the Olympics in 2012. Mr. Louwhoff will talk to the ACCJ about his experiences putting on an Olympics in concert with a number of different stakeholders. This is valuable experience that can help Tokyo run a fantastic Olympics when, hopefully, Tokyo is selected to host the 202o Olympics this coming September.

Speakers:

- Masato Mizuno, Tokyo 2020 CEO and Japanese Olympic Committee Vice President, who will provide an update on the Tokyo bid.

- Roel Louwhoff, Chief Executive Officer, BT Operate & Global Sports Technology, who was responsible for delivering the communications services for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Roel, who will be visiting Tokyo from London, will talk at first hand of the challenges and opportunities of being one of the Service Partners for 2012 as well as what Tokyo could anticipate from a successful 2020 Olympic bid.
