Objective: Builds on the findings of two original academic studies to (a) propose a comprehensive economic growth policy for Japan; (b) highlight the benefits of foreign direct investment into Japan, and (c) propose specific policies that can make it easier for all "new entrants" (such as entrepreneurs too) to participate in business, thereby making the economy thrive again. The Task Force has issued a well-received White Paper including both the overarching growth strategy and a series of topic-specific chapters with concrete recommendations that can enable the Japanese economy to achieve its full growth potential, which the ACCJ believes is very large in view of Japan's huge technology base and he currently high level of the "GDP gap".
