The ACCJ Food & Agriculture Committee works to promote transparency and fairness with relevant Japanese agencies for member company's goods and service as related to the Food and Beverage industry. This includes the advocating for tariff reductions and changes to Japanese regulations to match accepted world standards.

Vision/Directions

Step 1:
To reach out and engage related member companies to create a core group that will participate actively on the committee and the completion of its goals.

Step 2:
In conjunction with the US Embassy's Department of Agriculture office, have the committee identify 3 areas/issues that are consistent with the overall ACCJ advocacy goals to push for the coming year. As a first step, the areas of focus should be limited in nature with the greatest possible chance of success.

Step 3:
Reach out to other trade groups and Embassies to form a united front to press for the desired changes.
