Brings together interested ACCJ committees and member companies to engage with Japanese government agencies and other organizations to discuss issues related to re-establishing economic growth through policy reforms that diversify and grow the labor force in Japan. Japan faces a shortage of both general workers and skilled workers, which can only be addressed with the right mix of policy reforms and innovative ideas.

Produces a Viewpoint, which will describe the nature of the problem, the economic benefits to solving the shortage of workers, and refer to a number of specific examples of where the shortages are most acute and severely limit potential growth. Also, analyzes a range of contributing factors including: immigration policy, women's participation in the workforce, rebuilding Tohoku, and the needs of start-up companies looking to take Japanese products and services global.
