Are you sometimes confused by the reactions of your colleagues or clients from different cultural backgrounds? Do you ever walk out of a meeting thinking you have reached an agreement, but later discover that others came to a different conclusion?

Often, these varying interpretations arise due to the different lenses through which we view the world, and these lenses are colored by our cultural backgrounds. This ongoing challenge is shared by many ACCJ members. The Women in Business Committee has invited Efrot Weiss, cross cultural trainer, to facilitate a workshop on cultural awareness. Ms. Weiss has delivered courses in cross cultural training to a broad range of multinational clients.

In this interactive session, Efrot will provide a framework for looking at culture, enable participants to recognize the impact of culture on values, explain differences in behavior and communication styles, and address how to create a more flexible mindset. After attending this session, you will be better able to understand your own cultural biases, handle cultural differences and adapt your behavior when necessary.
