Nearly two years have passed since the historic disasters of March 11, and innovation and entrepreneurship are more important than ever for Japan's economic recovery. One of the key elements of Japan's economic recovery is increasing the presence of women in the workforce, particularly women in business. While the role of female business executives is vital, female innovators and entrepreneurs are a critical part of Japan's further economic growth. In recognition of U.S. Women's History Month and International Women's Day, March 8th, Dr. Loeb will address the ACCJ and discuss some of her ideas on how Japan can better recognize breakthrough ideas that have the potential to help improve Japan's economic stance and better include women in the workforce. Come and join us for an enlightening discussion!

Dr. Loeb has a proven track record in creating and growing disruptive high tech organizations and businesses. She is passionate about furthering the double-bottom-line agenda for the greater good and was a co-founder of the socially responsible business incubator Good Company Ventures.

Dr. Loeb is currently involved with growing intellectual assets and creating new technology and business concepts. She is an adjunct professor at the University of Delaware teaching a class that covers both cutting edge technology topics and entrepreneurship. She was a chief scientist and executive director at the Applied Research organization at Telcordia Technologies (formerly, Bell Communications Research and Bell Labs and now part of Ericsson) where she invented new products that created significant value to the corporation. Prior, she was the founder and CEO of Elity Systems, a venture backed software startup and lead it through down markets and two up rounds of venture capital financing. The company is now owned by IBM and its product is continuing to grow in scale and scope.
