Venue: Tokyo American Club

Nikki R. Haley is the youngest governor in the United States and the first woman to serve as South Carolina's governor. One of the Republican Party's rising stars, Governor Haley has fought for smaller government, lower taxes and reining in runaway spending.

At age 13, before becoming a corporate accountant, Haley kept the financial books for the family business, a retail clothing store. Haley credits her private sector experience for building her platform to run for office: she saw how hard it was for the business to make a dollar and how easy it was for government to take it.

Dubbed by many in her state as the "jobs governor," Haley's top priority is jobs for South Carolinians because if you give a person a job, you take care of a family. Haley has worked with the state legislature to pass tax reform, tort reform, unemployment insurance reform, and many issues that affect a company's bottom line.

Please join us to hear Governor Haley speak to ACCJ members and guests about her personal story, her focus on bringing jobs to her home state, and her work as governor.
