The ACCJ Chubu Chapter’s EAC Leadership Series: The Pen and The Sword with Edward Yagi on Wednesday, September 26th at Oak Lawn Marketing.

The External Affairs Committee (EAC) is proud to announce that Professor Edward Yagi will participate in the EAC Leadership Series. The Leadership Series are a collection of workshops and events designed for executives, senior management, and future leaders. Edward’s workshop will teach you valuable lessons on leadership that he has acquired during his illustrious careers with the U.S. military, U.S. Foreign Service, and academia. Bring your notebook, a pen, and your sharp mind to this fun and informative evening.

About Edward Yagi


Edward Yagi is a professor at the Nanzan University Graduate School of Business Administration in Nagoya, Japan. His primary areas of research and teaching are international personnel management and international marketing. His academic accolades include graduating from the University of California, Berkeley (department valedictorian), and being the first westerner to graduate from the Keio Business School (Japan’s only full-time, two-year, all-Japanese MBA program at the time).

He has a distinguished military service career, serving 20 years of combined student officer, active duty, and reserve service. In addition he was decorated by both governments of Japan and the U.S. Formerly a career Foreign Service Officer, Mr. Yagi supported U.S. commercial interests, promoted sales of U.S. goods and services, and advanced U.S. strategic and policy objectives worldwide. He served at U.S. Embassies in Japan, Egypt, and Kenya and at the U.S. Consulate in Nagoya. He retired from the U.S. Foreign Service in 2011.

Throughout his career, Mr. Yagi has advised thousands of companies of many nationalities in virtually every industry. He is a frequent lecturer at educational institutions and companies, and guest speaker at public and private organizations. He is currently writing a book about large organizations and organizational dysfunction.
