Featured Committee: Sales Development Committee

The Sales Development Committee (previously B2B Sales Committee) starts 2013 with a new name and a new mission.

According to our recent survey, many of our members are finding the sales environment increasingly challenging. The leadership seems to have a growing need for support; from hiring to growing and motivating their sales force.

Accordingly we have refocused our program plan for 2013 to:

1) Provide our members with 2 types of events:

• Speaker presentations where the speakers share their experience and information about the market they are involved in, and how they succeeded, usually from a sales perspective, and;
• Workshops where our members are provided the opportunity to brush up on and learn new skills and methodologies for themselves, their managers and/or their teams.

We focus on the following 3 main themes:
- Effective lead generation
- Leading and motivating your sales force
- Recruiting effective sales people

2) Publish: "The Sales Development Committee Survey"

Once a year the committee issues a survey to ACCJ Members that focuses on their needs and issues in the context of the sales environment in Japan.

3) Make Available: "The Library"

The Sales Development Committee has a library of more than 50 books mainly on sales available to members.

To make sure you get the information you need on sales and to attend our events and obtain our sales survey results, don't forget to sign up for the Sales Development Committee.
