Storytelling is 'hot' in marketing, organizational change and public speaking. The higher we look among successful executives, the more storytelling we find in their communication, and the less PowerPoint. Why? Is it because storytellers rise in power, or because successful people learn more effective ways of Influencing? Probably both.
Robert Burnside is a professional speaker and storyteller, and an executive coach specializing in Leadership Communication. He focuses on the natural communication similarities that connect human minds across boundaries of culture, language and personality and enable us to understand and influence each other. After working, selling and running businesses in 60 countries on seven continents, in several languages, he is less concerned about the 'cross-cultural' myths and assumptions that divide us.
He will demonstrate how the urge to listen to stories is a universal human similarity, and how skillful storytelling can connect you with and move your audience - customers, employees, peers - by tapping the instincts and values that connect us all.
