Speaker Profile:
Hiroshi Kobayashi
After graduating form Kyoto University in Economics, Mr.Kobayashi started his career in the logistics field with a large Japanese manufacturing company before starting his finance career. He has a wide range of experience from investor relations, to business planning & analysis and now heads up the Finance & IT Department of Kyowa Pharmaceuticals here in their Osaka Headquarters where he is also a board member. Prior to joining Kyowa he was working at Novartis with various roles in finance as well as the role of running Six Sigma initiatives. Mr.Kobayashi also attended London Business School where he obtained his MBA.
Satyajit Atwe
Mr. Atwe originally hails from India but has extensive business experience stretching across many parts of the Asia Pacific Region. His current post with Lupin, one of India’s largest generic drug companies has brought him here to Japan where he currently overseas the Strategic Planning Department of Kyowa Pharmaceuticals. Mr. Atwe was instrumental in the purchase of Kyowa Pharmaceuticals by Lupin in 2007. Prior to joining Lupin in 2006, Mr. Atwe held management positions at two other large Indian pharmaceutical companies, namely, Dr. Reddy and Ranbaxy and has experience encompassing sales, business development, licensing and strategic implementation. He has an MBA and is well known for his constant “quest for knowledge” which is clearly illustrated in everything that he does.
