Empathy equals growth. Businesses with an intuitive sense for the people they serve are capable of out competing the market over the long-term, in part because they sense and adapt to change earlier than anyone else.
That simple idea fuels this workshop; Pete Mortensen will draw on thinking from his book, methods from Jump Associates, and material he helps teach at Stanford University to offer practical tools for turning
observations about ordinary people into the foundation for disruptive business strategies
In this session, you will: discover seven practical methods for developing greater empathy; learn to interpret people's words to find the hidden meaning that points to high-value strategic reframes of the
market; and develop hands-on experience in translating observations of the world into new business directions.
Pete Mortensen is a senior strategist and project lead at Jump Associates, a consulting firm with offices in Silicon Valley and New York City that partners with large companies to create new businesses and reinvent existing categories.
