Mr. Hirofumi Aoki, Director, Trademark System Office, Trademark Division of the Japan Patent Office, has kindly agreed to provide the ACCJ with a briefing on the recent report by the Trademark Subcommittee of the IP Industrial Policy Group. This addresses, among other issues, the introduction of "new" trademarks such as holograms, color marks, etc.
This should be of interest not only to those interested in IP and patents but also to businesses that have a strong stake in protecting their IP.
We look forward to seeing you there and to ask questions to the Patent Office as well.
