The 13th annual "Edelman Trust Barometer" surveyed 31,000 people in 26 countries about their trust in government, business, NGOs and media. Last year's survey saw Japan transformed from a traditionally "neutral" country in terms of trust to become the world's second most "distrusting" country after Russia.
Join us to hear the Japan results from the 2013 Edelman Trust Barometer which reveal that Japan now has a new trust profile - one of embedded distrust. This seminar will introduce the 2013 survey's findings and provide insights on how organisations should operate under Japan's new trust profile.
Ross Rowbury brings to Edelman Japan over 30 years' experience living and working in Japan. His career in Japan began in the broking and investment banking industries, firstly at Sanyo Securities and then in senior positions at Crosby Securities and BZW Securities.
Some 15 years ago Ross moved to the PR industry, joining Gavin Anderson where as Managing Director he led teams in some of the most innovative M&A communications programs such as the Cable & Wireless contested acquisition of IDC and the hostile tender offer for SS Pharmaceuticals by Boeringer Ingelheim. He was also the lead on market entry campaigns for a number of insurance companies and asset management companies.
He then moved to PRAP Japan, Japan's largest PR company where as Senior Managing Director and COO he was responsible for managing teams leading accounts in food & beverage, entertainment, technology, luxury brands, fast moving consumer goods, healthcare and finance. He also personally ran crisis and issues management campaigns for a range of Japanese and foreign clients.
