The ACCJ is pleased to invite you to a breakfast with Michael Mudd, Chief Representative of the Open Computing Alliance (OCA) in the Asia Pacific region. The OCA seeks to encourage productivity, growth, and employment through new opportunities arising from ICT, distributed and networked computing, and environmental responsibility. Mr. Mudd chairs AmCham Hanois IPR, IT, and Telecom Committee. Also, he has represented SMEs at APEC SMEWG events with the US delegation. He is also the Senior Partner of Asia Policy Partners, LLC, a Hong Kong based technology consultancy.
Michael Mudds current area of interest is IT/IP compliance in the Asian supply chain. Specifically, he will talk about the emerging trends in competition and trade law regarding the use of unauthorized intellectual property. He will introduce recent actions brought against companies in Thailand, India, and China by the Attorney Generals of Massachusetts and California and explain what this trend means to companies with Asian supply chains. His talk will include practical advice on how corporate executives can mitigate risk, as well as insight on how this may work to the advantage of already-compliant businesses.
We look forward to seeing you at this special event.
