Holds regular monthly committee meetings that allow members to discuss developments in Japanese taxation and to discuss preparation of tax viewpoints and the like, in furtherance of this committee's role in the ACCJ. As a service for the broader ACCJ membership, this committee annually sponsors presentations on Japanese and U.S. individual tax developments and issues of relevance to ACCJ members. Advocacy on tax issues is a key role of this committee shown both in generating its own viewpoints on tax issues and in providing tax advice/comments to other ACCJ committees to assist in formulating their viewpoints. This committee also engages with its counterparts in other business chambers and associations in Japan and around the world to advocate on tax issues affecting the ACCJ membership. This committee would be of interest to anyone with an interest in tax policy. In particular, members who are either corporate executives with responsibility for tax matters or tax advisors are encouraged to join this committee.​
