For individuals living overseas or over 100 kilometers away from the Tokyo, Nagoya, or Osaka ACCJ offices. No sponsor or documentation is required.
NOTE: All ACCJ memberships are continuous but are billed on a 12-months cycle that starts the month your membership is approved. The entrance/transfer fee for any member is 15,000 yen. Unless otherwise stated, membership privileges are restricted to enrolled members only and are not transferable.
What do I do if I don’t have a sponsor?

What happens next?
For members applying for a NEW Commercial Membership:
The ACCJ Membership Services Department will contact you about payment (one-time entrance fee and annual dues), which we must receive prior to approving your membership along with the required items mentioned above. The payment is due the 20th day of each month. After we receive your payment, your application will be forwarded to the Membership Committee for a review at their regular meeting on the last week of each month.
For members joining an existing Commercial Membership:
When your membership application is completed, including required items and payment, it will be forwarded by the Membership Committee for a formal approval at their regular meeting on the first business day of each month.
How soon can I get involved?
You can start benefiting from your ACCJ membership right away! You can participate in Chamber activities even before your membership is formally approved. Since your member ID has not been assigned yet, please contact the ACCJ Membership Services Department at info@accj.or.jp during this period and we will handle event signups for you.
NOTE: Applicants for new Commercial Membership or Individual Membership are required to pay the annual dues and the entrance fee before attending events.
When do I receive my member ID and password?
After the Membership Committee approves your membership, we will send you a welcome package by postal mail. The welcome package includes a copy of the ACCJ Membership Directory, your member ID and password for access to the online Member Data Center, committee signup sheet, and other relevant materials. Your subscription to the ACCJ Journal will also start from that month.
