You may have heard of web-based retailer, 'The Meat Guy', an online retailer of all things meaty that grew to service thousands of customers per day rom its custom built factory and shipping center in Nagoya. Founded by Jason Morgan shortly after arriving in Japan in 1997, the company went through several permutations until finally finding its fruitful niche, surprising Jason as much as anyone.
After nearly two decades of dealing with issues such as import regulations, manufacturing safety standards, distribution logistics and demanding customers, The Meat Guy sold the venture to Private Equity. After a brief retirement Jason returned to found a start-up, J2U International, with the goal of building an internet-based export company for Japanese foods.
Join us as The Meat Guy himself, Jason Morgan, shares his experience as an independent businessman in Japan. It's been a long and winding road, from tender start-up to aged and well-seasoned repeat-entrepreneur. Don't miss this chance to learn the secrets of his success.
