Money and politics are the major driving forces behind cyber attacks. This presentation will cover the current state of cyber security attacks and how these are trending. We will further discuss some of the latest techniques used by cyber hackers, some of the latest defense tools and techniques, and provide some key examples. We will also include the impact of IOT, in its many forms (surveillance, sensors, and others), which are expanding the attack surface area. Some advice on best practices when managing systems will be included.
