Mr. Nelson Cunningham, President of McLarty Associates and a long time senior US government official and advisor to American leaders, will provide his assessment of the Trump Presidency after year one and its prospects and challenges over the next three years. Mr. Cunningham will also review Trump Administration trade policy, including the status of the NAFTA renegotiation and its impact on US, Mexico, Canada and other trade partners and the prospects for a Trump trade policy toward Asia. Finally, he will offer an early look ahead at the 2018 US elections and their potential impact on US policy.
Ambassador (ret) James Keith, formerly one of the US State Department’s leading China experts and now head of McLarty’s Asia Practice, will also provide additional comments on the evolution and status of US- China relations under Trump.
