Event Overview:

We’re pleased to announce the inaugural program in the ACCJ/NAJAS Business Speaker Series, highlighting the Japan-based businesses of global corporations, focusing on business strategies in Japan, successes and challenges, and current perspectives from Japan. This special program will feature a conversation with Simone Thomsen, President of Lilly Japan, live from Kobe; and Patrik Jonsson, Senior Vice President, President of Lilly USA and Chief Customer Officer, in Indianapolis. 

About the Speakers:

Simone Thomsen and Patrik Jonsson have extensive backgrounds in Japan and international markets. In addition to her current role as President of Lilly Japan, Ms. Thomsen had also served as director of Marketing for Lilly Japan. She has a degree in Business Administration and Japan Studies and studied at Kumamoto University.

Patrik Jonsson recently served as President of Lilly Japan. He returned to Lilly's headquarters in Indianapolis this past spring as Senior Vice President, President of Lilly Bio-Medicines. On October 1, he moved to the new role of Senior Vice President, President of Lilly USA and Chief Customer Officer.
