The JV will develop, finance, build and operate rooftop solar projects for Hyundai Motor Group and automotive suppliers in Korea. Through long-term power purchase agreements, suppliers can access competitively priced solar electricity without upfront investment, while the JV manages installation, operations and maintenance. The aim is to improve long-term visibility over electricity costs, strengthen manufacturing competitiveness and support supply-chain decarbonization.
The launch is supported by five initial projects totaling 13 MW, with a target of 100 MW within the next two years. This is an important step for Peak Energy as we expand our role as a partner for supply-chain decarbonization at scale, combining financing, local project delivery and long-term renewable energy supply.
